Weekly Rule Spotlight

22 Nov 2018 by Walla Tag Registrar

Wallatag is a non-contact sport, although some contact during the game is inevitable, it should be minimised as much as possible. There are a number of rules which define this:
1) Any deliberate or intentional contact will result in a penalty (Under Foul Play section of the rules)
2) The player in possession of the ball must not run directly at a defending player, or palm the defending player.
3) Kicking in general play can be any height; however the kicking team cannot come within 2 metres of the receiving team if they are contesting the ball. (To avoid contact)
